I'm a live-in Caregiver and such a job can sometimes be unreliable. I was just hired to work for/live with a person and suddenly they were hospitalised. So no more job (Boo Hoo :-(

My Family has been really good about helping me out. My mother and I have been trying to make ends meet with the help of my grandparents and friends. I figure that tribe.net is like an extention of my family so I feel comfortable enough to
post a plea to all my fellow Tribers.

I've been making a lot of Handmade Crafts to build my stock for the summer Craft Fairs and Farmers Markets. Since I need money immediately I'm trying to sell everything & anything I can in the next few weeks.

I have a large selection of Beaded/Crystal Jewelry, Bead Buddies, Ribbon Favour Brooches, Dream Catchers, Mandellas, Feather Ticklers, Peacock Teasers, Capes, Leather Pouches, Chokers/Armbands, Velvet/Satin/Lace Pouches, Hemp Jewelry, plus more... (My items are priced at $3-100- Most of my jewelry/gift items are $9-16)

I also have a selection of Garage Sale items inc: Stuffed Animals, Knick-Knacks, Collectables, Clothing, A great Acoustic Guitar with Gig-Bag and extra strings, A small TV, futon mattresses, and much more...

I'm also selling some baby items for my friend who is also in need: A Double Stroller, Play Pen, Crib/Mattress.

Anyone in the nearby area... Please come and check out my stuff. I guarantee you'll find something you'll like or even something for your mother, sister, lover or friend for Mothers Day.

LOCATION: 719 Beaver St. (cross st.-College Ave.)
DATE: April 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th.
TIME: 11am-4pm everyday

Feel free to send me a message if you are interested in any of the above items but can't make it to the sale.

I'm looking into selling my items here on this tribe soon.

  • I'm involved with the So Cal Rennaissance Pleasure Faire. This year I'm participating in the RUB (Random Undisclosed Benifactor) which is a different way of saying Secret Santa. Anyway, I'm up for buying some things as long as they can be mailed out to me and arrive within the next 5 weeks. Faire starts this Sat and lasts for 6 weeks. I'll be making some things myself, but I'd love to help you out!

So, pics, and name your price babe!
    • Kaltes, can't wait to see your merchandise. Do you know someone with a dig camera? Wish I was closer to help. Are you close to Lobo? She is a digital goddess!
  • Kaltes, I joined your tribe and I am glad to help.

For posting on tribe, if you have even halfway decent pictures of your products, I can make them presentable.

If you are really interested in selling online, I might be able to help out there too. I recently built an e-commerce website for a client who did not pay her bill, so now the website is built and ready. When you have your product shots, we can move you right in!

Let's support our fellow Crafty Vixens!

  • Worken it hun, have bean sence you sent me the message about the emergeny. Don't worry we will get you help and a platform for success.
Tribe.net people are amazingly connected and as I have seen go out of their way to help one another which is one of the most powerful movements I have ever seen. You will be ok for sure!

    Love
    Ash
  • Also another thing is if we can get a ride to one another I have connections with several SF shops and could easly get your stuff both sold and put on consignment in quit a few, all we need is the transportation.

    Love Ash
    • My pics are up! I've got more stuff to take pics of. I'll be posting more soon. Sorry about the color on the pics-some are a little dark. I'll also be posting a new thread with a description & price for each item.

      Thanks for the help everybody
      • are you in the city? i can help you with images if you like.

        good show on this tribe.
i am in grave circumstances as well- i will have to put mine together soon. good luck lady!
        • you know, all of this has made me want to produce a little "how to get started selling crafts online" tutorial... there is just so much information to pass on, re the web development aspects. more to come!
          • Lobo, that sort of information would be priceless to most of us who do not have the knowledge and mastery of all things digital and virtual as you.

I, for one, would be eternally grateful. Or at least until I stopped crafting. LOL
          • That would be great! A lot of people could use the information readily and help them in their development. I say go for it!
            • yep, that would rock!

              :)
              • ok, great! i recently got caught up in an emergency project, but i am taking the weekend off from that and will pay attention to these things I have in the fire...

primary is getting Kaltes started, and I will probably draft a how-to based on what I explain to her... this could be interesting! Stay tuned, but please be patient!

                Muchas!
                • Awesome! I hear all kinds of advice about selling on the web (and selling crafts in general, actually), and lot of it is contradictory. I would really appreciate the information.
                  • This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
this will be technical/business considerations only... an explained flow chart of decisions to be made when starting an online business... taking into consideration your computer experience, internet experience, selling experience, existing sales channels, prospective sales channels, product category, market segment, marketing efforts/budget, and other business considerations.
                    • Hi All, Leo Sunshine-David here from DVHdesigns. I'm new to tribe.net and pretty much loving it. I love the interconnections. I have NO real idea how I ended up here in this discussion (well, I sort of do....). It feels like co-ordinated synchronicity.

I'm a lapidary artist-gemstone cutter-stone beadmaker. Used to do shows and sell directly to jewelers & beaders. For the past 5+ years I've been doing my biz on eBay, userid DVHdesigns. I do well at it, when my life isn't too crazy, health issues don't interfere, etc. Anyhow, I'm interested in the whole concept of helping other artists, helping ourselves, sustainable crafting (& everything else!). I'm soon to be training my first new apprentice/helpers/eBay Master for the first time in a couple of years. As a part of that I'll be doing a written form, step by step, guide to selling your stuff on eBay, with an emphasis on crafts-custom made stuff. I hope to use it as a tool within my tribes to help us help ourselves and connect. I would be up for collaborating with others to put together a kind of "cyber crafters web biz steps to success packet". And if anyone wants to go to eBay and buy any of my wares, that would be great too, as I'm a non-starving artist on food stamps and rent support. Life is good and very good. The Universe provides everything we need in great abundance before we need it. Namaste, David-Leo
